Amy is a native of Morehousee Parish. She grew up in Bastrop, lived in and has family ties to Oak Ridge, and since 1982 lives in Mer Rouge with her husband Jim and their sons Cooper and Clayton.
She studied Architecture at LSU, then earned a BBA(Bachelor of Business Admin.) in Insurance and Real Estate from NLU (ULM). She worked in business & personal lines insurance for 25 years. About 2001, she began helping her husband Jim operate his cabinet shop where she helps design furniture and cabinets and does finishing, refinishing, and antiques restoration.
Amy is a member of Saint Andrews Episcopal Church where she is on the alter guild. She is a member of Coterie Study Club, past member of Clarklea Garden Club and Melange Study Club. She graduated from Prairie View Academy where she was a cheerleader for 3 yrs. and attended numerous literary rallies in English and Math. She attended Red Shoes School of Dance for 12 yrs. and was a member of Twin City Ballet for 6 yrs. She loves the outdoors, and still hunts and fishes occasionally.
